I moved to the States when I was 17 with not a lot to bank on.
Which is to say, I’ve been on an entrepreneurial journey for more than a decade now. Like many of my contemporaries, I’ve changed jobs, taken up different roles, even switched industries.
Many people don’t actively remember this, but change truly is the only constant. Your college, jobs, companies, successes and failures— all of it changes.
So when you attach your identity to a particular institution, experience or job, when you move on from it, people don’t really know who you are.
How do you then make sure that all those things continue to attach to you as a human being?

Personal branding means creating an identity for who you are and what you do. It helps people identify who YOU are, as an individual, as a
Personal branding requires creating content, and creating content for the digital world is terrifying. But many people are losing on some fantastic opportunities because they give in to that fear.
A personal brand can help you connect to like-minded individuals, professionals in the same field, potential customers as well as employers. It can also help you market your skills and gain freelancing opportunities.
You gain credibility when you are able to add value to someone’s digital experience. But more than that, you gain an identity that is not transient.
I talk extensively on my LinkedIn about AI, funding, entrepreneurial leadership and marketing. I have said knowledge and experience and my audience knows it.
The key is consistency.🔑
Get on LinkedIn. Start creating content around what you’re passionate about. Quality will come with time, focus on being consistent.
